Waste Heat Evaporators

The Waste Heat Evaporator (WHE) is another citrus processing machine designed by Ralph Cook. The WHE is similar to the TASTE and operates along the same basic principles, but uses the steam from citrus peel dryers to generate the heat needed for the first stage of concentration. This heat would otherwise be released to the atmosphere, so the Waste Heat Evaporator has the advantage of both reducing energy costs and of reducing heat pollution.The concentration of liquors from the press is carried out without steam consumption, except for the quantity necessary to create a vacuum.
